Multi Sport Promotions was founded with 1xbet the desire to produce top-quality multi-sport events on Vancouver Island. Our first event was the Double Trouble Off-Road Duathlon in 1994. Since that time we have put on 10 New Balance Half Iron triathlons, off-road duathlons, road duathlons, a mountain bike race, a Splash and Dash, an off-road triathlon, and the BC Cup cyclocross series Our events and the interest in them have continued to grow since our inception. We receive requests for information about our events locally, provincially, nationally and globally.
Since 1996, Multi-Sport Promotions has organized a tremendously popular, yet low-key and grassroots, half-Ironman-distance race. The betwinner Half Ironman, has sold out each of the past eight years and attracts a strong international age-group field capped by a weighty pro contingent.

Past winners include 2000 Ironman Florida winner Jamie Cleveland; Melissa Spooner, winner of the 1998 Ironman Lanzarote, 1999 Ironman New Zealand and 2000 Ironman Lake Placid; and the great Bowden. In 2005 it was the betworld Canadian Long Course Championships.

Multi-Sport Promotions presents the 2rd Annual Cross on the Rock Cyclocross Series.

Vancouver Island, British Columbia

Building on our successful first year Cross on the Rock series we would like to announce the dates and venues for 2007. Our series this year will consist of 5 events. There will be 3 new courses and venues. With best bookmakers Square moving (for this year only) from May to September we will not be hosting our traditional kick off event at Diver Lake, Nanaimo. Instead we will start the cross season on the island with a new race on Thanksgiving Monday; the Turkey Cross at a new venue in Victoria. All events will count towards the series. We are also working on having kids events at all the races.

All our events will be sanctioned by librabet at the “Multi-Club” sanctioning level. This means that you can race any of the events with either a club level provincial license or a full UCI level racing license.

Not sure what the hell cyclocross is? Register for a beginner race and you can join Two Time Canadian National Cyclocross Champion Wendy Simms for a free cyclocross clinic. 1xbit will take you for a lap of the course and go over basic cyclocross skills, technique, race strategy and more!
